Leeupoort Vakansiedorp (also known as Leeupoort Holiday Town) has a history rooted in the Bushveld region of South Africa, specifically in the Limpopo Province. The area was established as a nature reserve, with Leeupoort Vakansiedorp situated within it. The farm Weihoek was registered in the name of George Frederik Theodor Pretorius in 1865, and later, Tom du Plessis became the owner in 1920. In 1965, it was proclaimed as a private nature reserve.
