Pieter Westraat is a dedicated Property Practitioner with a diverse background in hospitality, entrepreneurship, and real estate. Before entering the property industry in 2020, he spent more than 17 years in the food and hospitality sector, including six years of international experience working in England, Dubai, and on Caribbean cruise ships.

His career began as a chef, where he developed a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional service. He later became an entrepreneur, owning and operating several successful businesses, including a takeaway café in Hermanus and a fish and Chip shop in Kuils River, both of which he successfully grew and sold.

Pieter's passion for property led him to pursue a career in real estate, where he completed his NQF4 qualification and successfully passed his PDE examination in 2024, achieving Full Status Property Practitioner accreditation. Throughout his real estate career, he has gained valuable experience with Huizemark and Engel & Völkers before joining Cape Coastal Homes in 2026.

Rather than limiting himself to a single area, Pieter has developed extensive knowledge of Paarl, Hermanus, the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town, and the Helderberg region. He believes that a successful property practitioner should have a broad understanding of different markets in order to provide clients with informed advice and exceptional service.

Known for his honesty, integrity, and client-focused approach, Pieter is committed to helping buyers and sellers navigate one of the most important financial decisions of their lives. His goal is to build lasting relationships based on trust, professionalism, and results.
