With an impressive 37-year career in local government, including 31 years in senior management, Attie Pretorius brings a wealth of knowledge, professionalism and leadership experience to the property industry. As the former Chief Executive/Town Clerk of the Despatch Municipality, he developed an in-depth understanding of municipal regulations, local governance and community development — valuable expertise that gives him a unique perspective when assisting clients with their property needs.

Attie holds a BA degree in Municipal Administration and Political Science, as well as a National Diploma in Public Health. Following his retirement from local government, he embarked on a career in real estate, applying his strong attention to detail, strategic thinking and commitment to public service to helping clients make informed property decisions.

His understanding of municipal processes and local regulations enables him to offer practical, well-informed guidance throughout the property journey. Attie believes that clear communication, honesty and integrity are essential to building lasting relationships, and he is committed to placing his clients' interests first.

Since joining Harcourts UD in 2022, Attie has proudly served clients in Uitenhage and Kariega (Despatch), combining his extensive local knowledge with a genuine passion for helping people.
