Drikus firmly believes that honesty and truth are the foundations of trust, a crucial element in all relationships. When he relocated from Cape Town to the West Coast in 2022, he aligned with Home & Hectare's motto, "At home with Trust," given his commitment to ethical conduct and thorough due diligence.

His journey in the property sector began in 2018 when he invested in a Haasendal development in Cape Town. This led to active involvement in estate management, where he served as chairman and acted as Estate Manager during the Covid lockdown. In 2019, he temporarily assisted in rental management, a role that grew into overseeing over 55 units, the Maintenance Management System for 450 properties and sales of 30 properties in just over a year, earning praises for his outstanding performance.

During a brief stay in Langebaan in 2022/23, Drikus obtained the necessary qualifications to become a registered Property Practitioner, receiving exemptions for NQF 4 & 5. His leadership extends to community service, being re-elected as chairman of his estate's HOA.

With a career in Risk Management since 1980, Drikus brings a systematic approach, investigative skills and a commitment to legal compliance. His resilience is evident in successfully navigating career changes and challenges, from becoming a Branch Manager for a Petroleum Road Tanker manufacturer to venturing into catering after a retrenchment in 2005.

Now settled in Darling with his wife and dog, Drikus enjoys the tranquility and country charm. Living in one of Darling's "Heritage site buildings," they relish the experience and the proximity to both the sea in Yzerfontein and the city, balancing his career with gardening, home repairs, woodwork, cooking and home beer brewing.
