I’m Tarryn Michael-Chapman, a Property Practitioner with Lencar, working across Sea Point, Green Point, Three Anchor Bay and the wider Cape Town Atlantic Seaboard.

My route into real estate is perhaps a little different. I’m also a qualified architect and interior designer, with more than ten years of experience working with homes, buildings and the people who live in them. That background has given me a very particular eye when it comes to property. I tend to notice the things that make a home work: proportion, light, layout, potential and the details that can completely change how a buyer experiences a space.

I work with homeowners looking to sell property in Sea Point and the surrounding Atlantic Seaboard, as well as buyers searching for homes and investment property in Cape Town. For sellers, my design background helps me look at a property critically before it goes to market, from how it is presented and photographed to which features are worth drawing attention to. For buyers, I can often help them see beyond what is immediately in front of them and understand the potential of a property.

I’m not particularly interested in a hard-sell approach to real estate. I prefer good communication, thoughtful advice and getting to know the people I’m working with. Buying or selling a home is a big decision, and I believe a good property agent should make that process feel clearer, not more complicated.

As both an architect and a Lencar Property Practitioner, I bring together design knowledge, local insight and a genuine interest in Cape Town property. And because I live and work in this part of the city, I’m constantly looking at its buildings, streets and homes — usually with an architect’s eye and an agent’s curiosity.
